Omba are deeply saddened on the passing of our Non Executive Director André Roux.
André joined the Board in 2018 and we were privileged to have been able to work with him and benefit from his years of business experience and strategic thought. Widely revered as the pioneer of the South African Private Equity industry he had a keen eye for detail and his input in Board and client meetings was invaluable in helping direct the business growth especially in our early years.
He will be very fondly remembered as a man of principles, integrity and business acumen and all our thoughts are with his wife Maureen and family.
In March 2024 André was awarded the SAVCA Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contribution to the South African Private Equity industry.
