Before joining Omba Stephen spent 12 years with Old Mutual as a Senior Portfolio Manager for their multi manager boutique. He ran both hedge fund and multi asset class portfolios and is experienced in manager due diligence, asset allocation and portfolio construction. In his more recent years with Old Mutual he also headed up business development and marketing for the business. In this role he was responsible for driving the business and marketing strategy and sales into the retail market.
Stephen has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry, prior to Old Mutual he worked for M Cubed Capital which was one of the very first multi managers to be launched in South Africa. Stephen studied for his B.Comm at Rhodes University where he majored in Economics, Commercial Law and Information Systems.
